Wii Sports – Video Games That Get Your Heart Rate Up

When you buy a new Nintendo it does come with a set of five mini games called Wii Sports. These five games are best played by using the motion detecting remote contral and the customized Mii avatar. The packages includes step by step instructions that help make the gaming experience easy and fun for everyone.  One of the greatest features of the Nintendo Wii Sports games is that they actually get you off the couch or chair and gets you moving your body. None of the five games are perfect. We will explore each games strengths and weaknesses in a minute.

Wii Sports Bowling

Wii Sports Bowling is arguably  the best of the lot. Be aware that the Wii Bowling can get addictive. Since the controller is so incredibly responsive in this game. Just a little twist of your wrist cam make or break a throw. You can play against a maximum of three other players. In case you’re worried of having to play this game all by yourself, don’t be, you can have a lot of fun playing the practice sessions all by yourself.

Wii Sports Baseball

Considering that this game is limited to pitching and hitting Wii Baseball still is a great way to have a lot of fun. As in real life, your actions control your success in this game. Again, due to the motion sensitive remote, the game appears so real and gets the players really engaged. If you want to speed up the ball you swing the remote faster, or you can hold the wiimote just like a baseball bat and hit a home run. This game appeals to very competitive players.

Wii Sports Tennis

Is not quite as responsive as bowling or baseball. This game however takes some finesse before you can master it.  Hold the controller in a very similar way as you would hold the baseball bat. However it is a little more tricky because of playing against a partner. Be a little careful here, if ball is close to your partner and you swing in preparation of the ball coming towards you, there is a chance that the tennis ball flies past your partner and then towards your head.

Wii Sports Golf

Wii Sports Golf is very different to many of the online golfing video games. Nintendo, in my opinion has added some really cool features, to make this game very enjoyable. The golf courses are not that difficult to play as some of the other online golfing games. The wii mote gives the gamer more options to play the game than just the average power of the golf swing. However, just like with the real game, Wii Sports Golf does take some time and effort to get all the timings right, at least for most of us. If however your talented you may not have the patience to master this game.

Wii Sports Boxing

Wii Sports Boxing seems to be disappointing the community. It doesn’t seem to be fulfilling the what had been promised. It is falling short in the simulation of the boxing itself. There is almost no way of getting you Wii to hit where you’d like it to. The Responsiveness just isn’t developed well enough and it lacks accuracy. Your adversary on the other hand seems to have a distinctive advantage over you, which is not satisfactory. Well I guess it’s a good thing that the other four games are fun, so you probably won’t play the boxing game a lot.

Wii Sports Training

Not a game in the traditional sense. The Wii Sports training sessions still worth a mention though  Once you played each sports game, Wii Sports Training unlocks the training levels for you. This encourages you to become better at the chosen games. Wii Sports Training offers levels from basic to expert exercises, somehow I don’t think gamers will run out of options here. Some examples of what Wii Sports Training offers the committed gamer; baseball training, how many hits can you get out of thirty pitches, try to hit the bulls eye in tennis without missing a ball and more. Exercises vary as the get harder and each win improves your fitness score and you can even win gold medals playing the Wii Sports games.
