The invention and the introduction of the Wii Gaming Console to the market place has taken the gaming world to new heights. Just like with everything, the not everybody agrees with the assessment that the graphics are great and the gaming console is powerful and cool. However there should be little doubt out there that the wii games will get the gamers off the couch and moving. Whether you’ll be loosing weight is entirely up to you.

Interactive gaming is the deal

The creativity Nintendo has put into their latest technology resulted in the development of, and that’s only one example, the motion-sensitive controller. This was a true master stroke and it has given us access to the age of inter active gaming. Since these controllers are so intuitive and therefore easy to use, the popularity has naturally gone through the roof.

There were a few more master strokes Nintendo included in the package. Wii Sports, one of the first games that came out, truly gets you moving. Say you choose to play tennis, the controller actually acts as your tennis racket, in the case of bowling it becomes the ball launcher, and if you were to choose to have a boxing match, the controller becomes your boxing gloves.

The driving games developed for the Nintendo Wii have been rather successful. The Wii-mote becomes your car steering wheel. The built in sensitivity of the controller, makes the “driving” experience a real treat and seems to be almost unmatched in the market place.

As you would expect there are a number of shooting games are available for the Wii Gaming Console. The gaming experience with them very different compared to say an Xbox or any other gaming consoles. The reason, once again is the remote control. The controller acts as your gun, which means that the gamer points the controller directly at the screen. To achieve the same with any other online game, you’d either have to use your keyboard or a joy stick.

Just to clarify, the Wii controller, if turned horizontally, becomes a normal or should I call it conventional controller.

There are some games that need special input devices. Say you’re interested in playing some of the Nintendo music based games. You would have to use device like a guitar, a microphone or a drum that are developed specifically with the wii.

It will be very interesting to watch and observe how the Wii Gaming console is going to compete and maintain it’s position in the market place. It is competing with Sony and Microsoft, and some of these companies are up to their 7th generation of games, whereas Nintendo’s Wii is their fifth generation.
